WEEKLY VOCABULARY

Camera Obscura: It is a box that is darkened and has a convex lens to project the image of an external object onto a screen inside it. This was the first type of camera

Speed Graphic (Graflex) Camera: This was a very slow camera. It was very complicated to use also. The photographer had to adjust everything from the lens depending on the surrounding light to changing the film for the picture.

Contax Camera: This was one of the first compact cameras. This brand was mainly known for its large variety of lenses.
